5 Mar
After breakfast we went a walk around Sydney circular quay, the Fred Olsen ship Balmoral was in today .In the afternoon met Marion (we met her on the Fiji cruise) and took the ferry to Manly but the weather was bad and we had to abort our walk around Manly very quickly, if it had been nice it would have been very pretty and the beach would have been inviting although there wasw still some surfers. In the evening we went to the Latitude restaurant at the hotel which was extremely good.
6 Mar
Early start this morning 07.15 for coach tour to Hunters Valley .Stopped for coffee break and feeding the kangaroos , then onto wine tasting at Brokenwood winery. We stopped for our lunch and more wines after which we went to our last wine stop at Oakvale winery and even if we had not had enough food and drink we stopped at chocolate factory. On our return we managed drinks and canopes in the hotel club lounge.
7 Mar
N ever to stand still for long , after breakfast went a walk around The Rocks where there was market stalls and then took a city tour for 2 hours after which we took a ferry to Watson Bay, a seaside resort. Their speciality being a seafood platter and fish and chips, although we did not have this it looked extremely good on the table next to us.We returned to Circular Quay Sydney and went on the Captain Cooks sunset dinner cruise where we saw the Queen Mary 2 coming into port and docking at Garden Island because it is to big for Darling Harbour and the Circular Quay. After the dinner cruise we managed to get back to the hotel in time for 40 mins in the club lounge for cocktail time for drinks and canopes.

Hi everybody sorry we have not been in touch but very difficult in Fiji and no way of contacting anybody on the cruise and even in Palm Cove unless we sat on the floor it was equally as bad but we are now in Sydney.
21 Feb
In Fiji now and relaxing around the swimming pool and had a good meal at night outside by the beach.
23 Feb
Packed our little bags for our Captain Cook cruise around the Fiji islands until the 27th Feb which we enjoyed. A little hectic going from one island to another. On one island we visited a school where the children sang to us before showing us around. Certainly mums and dads had no television as they all had 7 or 8 brothers or sisters. On one evening Stuart ( not me as I was ill) went to a village for dinner (lovo feast) where the villagers had a little market to sell shells ,beads, bracelets etc and entertained us with singing after the meal and then returned to the ship for desert.
27 Feb
Left the cruise to return to the hotel before leaving very early next day.
28 Feb
Not good ,wake up call 04.30 for our 05.30 pick up for the airport for a flight to Brisbane where we changed for a flight to Cairns and then transfered to Palm Cove.
1 Mar
A lie in this morning and after a lovely breakfast had a walk around the resort which since 2002 has grown, more shops , hotels and restaurants but very tastefully done.In the afternoon we lazed by the pool and in the evening we had a monsoon with about 3 inches of rain.
2 Mar
We went on the local bus to Cairns and spent the day looking around the place.Went out to a Thai restaurant in the evening
3 Mar
Very humid today so we relaxed around the pool and even went in the pool.
4 Mar
What a surprise this morning we were picked up from the hotel in stretch limo for the airport, but no champagne.Arrived in Sydney at the Shangri-La hotel about 17.30, room overlooks the Sydney Opera house. In the evening met up with Helena and went out to Fish at the Rocks restaurant which was excellant.
